HEMPSTEAD -

Officials have increased the reward to find the person who dumped seven dead pit bulls at a Hempstead sump.

The six adult dogs and one puppy were found in large black garbage bags off South Franklin Street last week.

The Nassau SPCA says someone donated $1,000 to bring the reward from $5,000 to $6,000.
