The new school year is just getting underway, but for those looking to snag a spot in the city's top private schools it's never too early to get the ball rolling.
Niche.com released its list of the best private K-12 schools in the city. Ranking factors include SAT/ACT scores, quality of colleges, student-teacher ratios and parent reviews.
The No. 1 spot goes to Trinity School in Manhattan, but Brooklyn and Bronx residents won't have to travel far for top 10 schools.
Horace Mann School in the Bronx snagged the third spot, and Riverdale Country School came in sixth.
Brooklyn's best is the Packer Collegiate Institute at No. 8, and No. 9 was Poly Prep Country Day School.
