Wake to be held for Brentwood mom turned anti-gang activist

A wake will be held on Thursday for anti-gang activist and Brentwood mother Evelyn Rodriguez.
As News 12 has reported, Rodriguez was hit and killed by an SUV on Friday.
It happened while she was setting up a memorial for her daughter Kayla, who was murdered two years ago allegedly by MS 13.
Newsday says Rodriguez will be laid to rest in a Central Islip cemetery next to Kayla.
Thursday’s wake will be held at Michael J. Grant Funeral Home in Brentwood from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Her funeral mass is at 9:00 a.m. Friday at St. Anne's Church in Brentwood.
