Port Jefferson mom issued stay-away order after feeding child pot brownie

RIVERHEAD -

A Port Jefferson mom has been ordered to stay away from her 4-year-old after she gave him drugs.

Sydney Marquez was sentenced Friday to four years in prison. A Riverhead judge also issued a permanent stay-away order.

As News 12 reported, prosecutors say the drug dealer fed her son a pot-laced brownie in April.

Marquez also has to complete a drug treatment program.
