Donations needed as Florence cancels blood drives

The American Red Cross is seeking donations after Tropical Storm Florence canceled more than 120 blood drives and closed donation centers in the South as it battered the Carolina coast Friday.
The Red Cross says it was able to get supplies it needs to help storm victims, but it needs to replenish the supply for the rest of the nation.
To help bolster the supply, Christ and Holy Trinity Church in Westport held a blood drive on Friday.
The Red Cross was particularly looking for O type blood, but all donations were accepted. It was also taking platelet donations.
Anyone looking to book an appointment can download the American Red Cross Blood Donor app.
The Red Cross holds blood drives daily.
