Amazon is reportedly opening a brick and mortar store in New York City.
The news comes after Amazon posted several job openings looking for employees to run its Amazon Go retail store in the city.
According to the New York Post, Amazon confirmed it was opening the cashier-less store.
Amazon opened a Go store in Seattle where customers can shop for groceries and ready-to-eat meals.
Customers enter the store by accessing a smartphone app that recognizes when an item is removed from a shelf. The store operates without checkouts or cashiers and customers are charged for items they remove from the shelves.
If the customer places the item back on the shelf of changes their mind, they are not charged.
Amazon did not confirm the location of the new store but says it will require few employees to operate and will allow customers to shop much faster.
