Parking garage near Hicksville train station closed for repairs

HICKSVILLE -

The Hicksville town parking garage officially closed Wednesday morning to undergo at least three months of repairs.

The 1,200 commuters who park at the garage on a daily basis will need to find a new parking spot.

The town is allowing commuters with a permit to park at the now-closed Sears parking lot.

It is in addition to a dozen other designated lots throughout the community.

Construction on the new garage is expected take at least three months.
