Police: 2 vandals caught on camera damaging Greenport church

GREENPORT -

Police are asking the public to help identify two men caught on surveillance camera damaging St. Anargyroi Greek Orthodox Church.

The church is located on Main Street in Greenport Village.

Police say the men – who appear to be in their 20s – broke a window, damaged the church's sign, and dumped their potted plants around the yard.

Parishioners told News 12 that they were glad no substantial damage was done to the church.

Southold Town police are asking anyone with information about the suspects to contact them at at 631-765-2600.
