Taxi regulators predict more Uber, Lyft drivers will come to LI

There could soon be more Uber and Lyft drivers on Long Island.
Long Island taxi regulators are predicting an increase in drivers now that there's a temporary cap on ride-hailing licenses in New York City.
On Tuesday, Mayor Bill de Blasio signed legislation for a 12 month freeze on the number of licenses.
The move will help the city's Taxi & Limousine Commission study the effects of the services on traffic and on the cab industry.
