Police probe body found in Bridgeport as ‘suspicious’

Police are still investigating the death of a woman found in her home Monday afternoon.
Officers say they were on Pearl Harbor Street at the two-family residence for several hours after finding the body.
While they do not have an exact cause yet, they're calling it a "suspicious death" and are waiting on an autopsy before calling it a homicide or not.
"We're leaning towards that it was accidental but like I said we just won't know for certain until we get a full report from the Medical Examiner’s Office," says Capt. Brian Fitzgerald.
That autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday morning.
