Nassau PD: Gas station employee fatally shot after altercation

A person was fatally shot at a gas station on Glen Head Road after an altercation between employees, according to Nassau police.

Detective Lt. Richard LeBrun says one of the men in the incident pulled out a firearm shot the other man, which left him with terminal injuries.

Police say they received a call about the shooting around 11 a.m., but have not released any details surrounding the altercation between the two men.

Neighbors told News 12 they were shocked to hear about the incident in their usually quiet community.

Police say they have a person of interest in custody, but no arrests have been made. They are encouraging anyone with information about the incident to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
