A car collided with a tractor-trailer at a major intersection in Old Westbury Tuesday.
It happened on Glen Cove Road at Jericho Turnpike in Old Westbury just after midnight.
Officials say the car was severely damaged underneath the Target tractor-trailer.
It is not yet known what led to the crash, but authorities are investigating.
Both Nassau County and Old Westbury police were on scene.
Officials say the female driver was taken to the hospital. Her condition is not yet known.
The intersection was shut down for six hours, but has since reopened.
