Two men were injured in a shooting in Riverhead overnight, and the shooter remains at large.

Police say they responded to East Avenue just after midnight following complaints about a large party.

Responding officers say they heard several gunshots, and then found two men with gunshot wounds in a nearby parking lot.

The victims were hospitalized, and have undergone surgery. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Police believe the victims were targeted and that it was not a random act. Their identities were not released.
