The Town of Huntington has unveiled a free skin cancer prevention program.
Officials will place 16 sunscreen dispensers containing SPF 30 lotion across 14 locations, including town parks, beaches and golf courses.
The new initiative is sponsored by Huntington Hospital - Northwell Health and uses no taxpayer funding.
There are about 484 cases of skin cancer reported annually in Suffolk County, with 48 residents dying each year from the disease.
