Camp Fahrenheit prepares future Long Island firefighters

Camp Fahrenheit 516 is an intense training program for teenagers from 15 Nassau County fire companies.

It was designed to give the teens firsthand firefighting experience, including search-and-rescue drills, emergency evacuation procedures and even putting out live car fires.

Camp Fahrenheit runs every summer for one week in July.
