Arrest made in connection to strangling of Long Island nurse

MANHASSET -

An arrest has been made in connection to the killing of a Long Island nurse.

Police say 29-year-old Samantha Stewart was strangled inside her Queens home last week.

She was a nurse at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset.

Police say they arrested an unidentified 27-year-old suspect in California.

They say he may have been set to kill another person as he was caught.

There was no word on a motive.
