A warning if you plan on heading into the water today.

The Suffolk County Health Department is issuing a bathing ban at three beaches due to high bacteria levels.

The ban includes Venetian Shores Park and Tanner Park in Babylon Town and the beach at Lake Ronkonkoma in Islip Town.

The bacteria, which can cause gastrointestinal issues, may have come from storm water runoff.
