Two shootings Tuesday at the Bushwick Houses left a 15-year-old boy dead and two other people injured.
One shooting happened shortly before 3 p.m. at 370 Bushwick Ave.
Police say a bullet struck the 15-year-old in the chest, and a 42-year-old man was grazed on the cheek.
Both were taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull, where the boy was pronounced dead. News 12 was told that the man was in stable condition.
The boy's identity was withheld pending family notification.
Earlier in the day, a 16-year-old was injured in a shooting in another part of the Bushwick Houses, closer to Humboldt Street. That teen, who was also shot in the chest, is expected to survive.
Investigators say a person was taken into custody in each case, although they wouldn't say if it was the same person.
News 12 initially reported that police didn't believe the shootings were related, but sources say that a connection is possible.
