LI business leaders use Prime Day to highlight online sales tax collection

Long Island business leaders used Prime Day to highlight the need for action on online sales tax collection.

The group of small business leaders rallied behind an effort to pass a state law ensuring out-of-state e-commerce entities pay their fair share.

The call comes in light of a recent Supreme Court ruling overturning a decision that prevented the collection of sales tax from companies that have no physical footprint in their states.
