Arrest made in deaths of 2 women found in Ventnor home
Authorities have arrested a 41-year-old woman and charged her in connection with the deaths of two women whose bodies were found in an Atlantic County home over the weekend.
Heather Barbera faces several charges, including first-degree murder and robbery in the deaths of 87-year-old Elaine Rosen and her daughter, 67-year-old Michelle Gordon, inside a Ventnor condo. Prosecutors say the two women were found dead Sunday morning inside the Vassar Square Condominiums. Both died of multiple blunt impact injuries.
Officials say that Barbera hit the women with a nightstick and then took a bus to New York City. She was arrested at the Port Authority Bus Station in Manhattan Wednesday afternoon. She is awaiting extradition back to New Jersey.
