Business Briefs: Best Buy, Jurassic World, cellphones
Discs are officially coming off shelves at Best Buy. The retailer made the decision based on slowing sales. Only 16 percent of overall music revenue comes from CDs and vinyl, compared to 62 percent that came from streaming services.
"Jurassic World" is continuing to crush it at the box office. The film raked in $60 million in its second weekend, bringing its overall gross to just short of $1 billion. "The Incredibles 2" held on to second place, and is on track to become the biggest animated movie ever.
Would you rather be stinky or without a smartphone? Millennials chose to stink. A new survey shows over 40 percent of people ages 18 to 34 would rather give up shampooing for a week than be without their cellphone. A similar number said they would give up their pet or toothbrush over their phone.
