Police: Pedestrian struck, killed in Huntington

HUNTINGTON -

Police say a pedestrian has died after being struck by a car in Huntington.

According to police, Miguel Jiminez-Villa was walking across New York Avenue around 11:40 p.m. Wednesday when he was struck by a car traveling southbound.

Jiminez-Villa, 55, of Huntington, was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
