GARDEN CITY -

A registered sex offender in California is accused of contacting a young girl in Garden City.

Garden City Police say Jayson Brown left graphic voicemails on the 11-year-old's cell phone.

The girl’s mother heard one of them and called detectives, who traced the calls to San Bernardino County. Authorities there arrested Brown.

Brown claims he was calling random numbers. He is being held without bail.
