Six men who New Jersey police arrested in connection with a brutal knife attack that left a teen dead in the Bronx last week are on their way to New York after extradition hearings.
Four of them are Bronx residents: Jose Tavarez, 21, Manuel Rivera, 18, Danel Fernandez, 21, and Antonio Hernandez Santiago, 24.
Jose Muniz, 21 is from New Jersey, and Jonaiki Martinez-Estrella, 24, is from Freeport, on Long Island.
Another suspect, 19-year-old Kevin Alvarez, was arraigned here Monday on charges that include murder and gang assault.
An eighth suspect, 23-year-old Elvin Garcia, has also been arrested on similar charges, according to Bronx District Attorney Darcel Clark.
The incident's graphic violence circulated widely in surveillance video posted to social media. It shows the attackers dragging 15-year-old Lesandro Guzman-Feliz, also known as Junior, along the ground as he claws helplessly at the brick wall of a bodega.

The men repeatedly hack and stab him and then run off.
The video shows Guzman-Feliz stumbling with blood gushing from his throat before heading toward a nearby hospital, where police say he died.
"When you look at where he was assaulted and the proximity of the hospital, it explains the nature of the wounds -- that he expired so quickly," said NYPD Chief of Detectives Dermot Shea.
Investigators say the suspects may be linked to the violent Trinitarios gang, which has also been blamed for another violent, public stabbing last week. In that case, a group including suspected gang members chased a boy onto the Bronx River Parkway during rush hour and stabbed him more than a dozen times. He remains hospitalized in critical condition.
Police vowed Tuesday to crack down hard on the group.
"We have a unified focus that we will not tolerate gang activity, particularly anything as heinous as this crime," Chief Shea said.
