Boaters received annual blessings during an inter-faith event held Sunday on City Island.

Clergy from all faiths gathered for the Blessing of the Fleet held by the City Island Sail and Power Squadron, and hundreds of boaters lined up to receive their blessing. 

The event started with the Howard Hawkins Post of City Island leading a salute to the flag, with the boats lining up one-by-one to wait for their turn.

Boaters waved as they passed by, thanking the clergy for the blessing.
