One person is dead and two others are seriously hurt following a crash in Brick Sunday morning.

It happened on the northbound side of Brick Boulevard just before 9 a.m.

Police say 18-year-old Christopher Marino, of Toms River, was riding a Suzuki motorcycle when he hit a Honda CRV trying to make a left onto Bay Harbor Plaza.

Marino was killed.

The couple in the CRV, both in their 70s, were trapped inside but survived with neck injuries.

The crash caused road closures in the area. Brick Boulevard was shut down from Molly Lane to Beaverson Boulevard as authorities investigated the crash.

Police say the investigation will continue, though speed appears to have been a factor.
