The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office wants the public to see surveillance video as they hope to find the driver who hit a child last week in Englewood.
It's grainy, but investigators hope it’s the clue that cracks the case.
The video was taken June 11 along Knickerbocker Road.
In the video, the driver is seen getting out of his car, appearing to check for damage, and then driving off.
Authorities have not identified the victim, but a GoFundMe page identified him as Cristian Valdez, 15.
The child is recovering from serious injuries.
The color of the car is unknown, but the model of the car is likely a 2000-2002 Audi A4, 2000-2004 Audi A6, or 2001-2005 Audi Allroad.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Fatal Accident Investigation Unit at (201)-226-5595, or the Englewood Police Department at (201)-568-2700.
