Police search for missing sign from Circus Drive-In

Police in Wall Township are asking for the public’s help finding a missing sign from the iconic Circus Drive-In.
The sign is about three-feet long and 10-inches wide, reading "Maryland Jumbo Soft Shell Crabs."
Police believe it was stolen sometime last week.
The Circus Drive-In was demolished last month.
The iconic restaurant was a fixture for generations of families heading to the Jersey Shore and nearby residents since 1954. Its signature neon sign featuring a huge, smiling clown's face was a roadside landmark.
The new owners, Rock Asset Management, say they wanted the signs to remain with any future building, but the rest of the property will be auctioned off.
Anyone with information is asked to call Wall Township police.
