Police: 19-year-old dies after crashing dirt bike into dump truck

MILFORD -

Police say a 19-year-old from Bridgeport was killed when he crashed a dirt bike into a dump truck Tuesday afternoon in Milford.

Authorities say the victim, Vincent Annuzzi-Rivera, was visiting a friend who lives in the area before the crash.

They say Annuzzi-Rivera was on his friend's dirt bike when he rounded a corner on Lori Drive around 3 p.m. and crashed into the back of a parked dump truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

"It's apparent by his lack of restricted license, and he wasn't wearing a helmet, that he's probably not very experienced in operating a vehicle such as this," says Milford Police Officer Mike Devito.

Annuzzi-Rivera lived with his family in Bridgeport and was also cared for by his uncle.

Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call police.
