Residents in Country Club say they are upset after they believe the Department of Transportation mistakenly painted a set of double yellow lines over a newly resurfaced roadway.
Victor Dipierro says the DOT resurfaced the road before painting the new lines.
"They resurfaced the street, they gave us new pavement here, and then they came to do the markings and the absolutely destroyed it I don't know what they did with it. We have a set of double yellow lines running from a very small area of Country Club Road. It's very narrow to begin with, and it's very hard to navigate coming in and going out two way traffic, now two sets of double yellow lines on a very narrow road it makes absolutely no sense, it's going to be a definite hazard," Dipierro says.
A Department of Transportation spokesperson responded in a statement by saying "The set of lines on the left were temporarily installed before final markings on the right could be installed. They will fade over time."
