LONG BEACH -

Pride was on parade in Long Beach Sunday afternoon.

After a weekend full of pride events, the 28th Annual Long Island Pride Parade kicked off at noon.

Survivors of the Parkland school shooting served as grand marshals.

Organizers say the battle for LGBT rights is not over, and celebrating pride is critical.

Surfers held a memorial paddle in the ocean to honor the Parkland victims, including Long Island native Scott Beigel.
