Federal judge temporarily blocks deportation of Hempstead deliveryman

A Hempstead deliveryman who faced deportation has now been granted an emergency stay.
Pablo Villavicencio received the news from a federal judge Saturday.
Attorneys for the Legal Aid Society say the deportation has been temporarily blocked until July 20, allowing the father of two to work on obtaining permanent United States residency.
Villavicencio was arrested when he tried to deliver a pizza to the Fort Hamilton military base in Brooklyn.
A background check revealed there was a warrant for his arrest for immigration law violations.
