An act of cruelty against a family of geese in Farmingdale was caught on surveillance video Wednesday night.
The video shows a man charging at two adult geese and several goslings with a wolf decoy in his hands. He then throws the decoy at one of the geese.
The man then fled in an SUV.
The incident occurred in an industrial park on Banfi Plaza West.
Geese are federally protected animals. Authorities are urging anyone who has information about the man to contact the Nassau County SPCA at 516-THE-SPCA.
This is the second time in a little more than a year that News 12 has reported on cruelty against these birds. Last May, a car was spotted running over baby geese outside the Federal Courthouse in Central Islip.
