Your airline tickets might be getting more expensive. Fuel prices have gone up 50 percent since last year, and it's taking a roll on the airline industry. Airlines have hinted at prices going up – Delta has lowered its profit expectations and says it could take up to a year to recover from high fuel costs.
McDonald's is planning a big round of layoffs. The Wall Street Journal is reporting that the fast food chain is flattening its corporate structure to reduce administrative expenses by $500 million. McDonald's has been working to alter its U.S. business as Americans become more health conscious. The numbers of employees that will loses their jobs is unknown.
Amazon is becoming more hands-free with its latest device. The Fire TV Cube is a combination of Amazon's virtual assistant and universal remote in one box. It can be used to tell users the weather and pause or fast forward through TV shows. The Fire TV Cube will cost Amazon Prime members $90. Devices will begin shipping June 21.
