Wine & Food Festival gets underway in Yonkers

Westchester Magazine's eighth annual Wine & Food Festival got underway Monday in Yonkers.
The official event kickoff was held at Fortina, where guests would be tasting wine and the restaurant's signature pizzas.
Each day will see a different event -- including a burger and beer night and grand tasting village this weekend at Kensico Dam.
While adults can enjoy the wine, children can partake in a junior chef event this Saturday that will teach the basics of cooking.
The festival runs through Sunday. It's expected to draw in about 7,000 people.
Each event requires a ticket for entry. Some require tickets to be bought ahead of time, while others can be purchased at the door.
