Police identify man killed in Southern State Parkway crash

BAY SHORE -

One person was killed in a crash on the Southern State Parkway in Bay Shore Monday morning.

State police say a Nissan Rogue struck the rear of a Jeep Wrangler just after 8:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes near Exit 42.

The Nissan driver was killed. He has been identified as 59-year-old Larry Oluwo, of Wyandanch.

The roadway was shut down for hours after the crash. It reopened shortly before 2:30 p.m.

State police are asking any witnesses to call them at 631-756-3300.
