Dozens of people marched from Garden City to Mineola Sunday to bring awareness to the issue of transgender civil rights.

The group says it wants the Nassau Legislature to pass an amendment to the county's human rights law.

The law would protect transgender and gender non-conforming people from discrimination in employment, housing and public access.
