Funeral held for World War II vet from Long Island

A funeral was held today for a World War II veteran from Long Island.

Anthony Scotto died on May 22 at age 93. He was drafted into the second World War and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. After the war, Scotto moved to Smithtown and started a family. He taught in the Kings Park School District for decades.

A wake for Scotto was held Sunday night. He is survived by his six children, 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
