Coney Island school to use funding for tech upgrades

P.S./I.S. 288 in Coney Island will be putting some new funding toward technology upgrades.
The school over the past four years has received more than $400,000 in funding to complete upgrades, on top of another $150,000 added through a participatory budgeting program.
The additional money will be used to purchase laptops and smartboards and to improve the school's internet connection.
Student Zubaed Mahbub says he hopes the upgrades help him get closer to achieving his dream of becoming a YouTube star.
