OCEANSIDE -

A grandfather was arrested at his grandson’s Oceanside elementary school Monday.

Police say 72-year-old Kenneth Geller was arrested for a gun threat at Oceanside's kindergarten center on Castleton Court.

Officials say Keller went to the school, saying he was picking up his grandson. School officials asked for identification.

Police say Geller told them he was going to his car to get his ID and his gun.

Police say he returned to the building, kept pressing the school doorbell, and covered the security camera.
