A driver is facing DWI charges after slamming his car into a gas station in Huntington Station early Tuesday morning, according to prosecutors.
Surveillance video captured the incident around 2:30 a.m. at the Citgo gas station located at West Hills Road and New York Avenue.
Prosecutors say the driver, Fernando Velasquez, had a blood alcohol content nearly two times the legal limit when he struck the gas pump.
They say he then struck two parked cars at the gas station. His BMW exploded into flames.
No one was hurting during the incident.
Velasquez pleaded not guilty to a DWI charge. He was ordered held on $1,000 cash bail.
