Making our schools safer in the wake of deadly school shootings was the topic of a recent conversation.
News 12 hosted a Facebook Live event at Center Moriches High School.
Participants were asked if school staff should be armed, as part of our on-going series "Guns on Long Island."
Some Long Islanders said they are in favor of security personnel who are retired police officers or active officers trained in mass shootings. However, most feel teachers and administrators should not be armed.
