A 22-year-old East New York man says two pit bulls attacked him last week, and when he broke free, their owner fled without a word.
Dikembe Bogle still has bite marks on his leg. He says he was working out at Linden Park when a pit bull chased him down and attacked.
The dog's owner tried to calm the situation, he says, but then that man's second dog joined the fracas.
Once Bogle beat the dogs away with a crate that a bystander had tossed him, the owner drove off with his dogs.
He says he hasn't filed a criminal complaint, but police have confirmed the attack.
City health officials say dog bite victims should report the incidents to 311 within 24 hours or by filling out a form online. Then officers can begin so-called dangerous dog proceedings in court.
