Report: New homeowners find cases of explosives

Some new homeowners in Lynbrook found three cases of explosives, believed to be TNT, in the attic of their home Saturday, Newsday reports.

The Nassau County Bomb Squad was called in to remove the explosives.

Nearby homes on Lynbrook Avenue were evacuated during the ordeal.

It was not immediately clear how long the explosives were in the home or how they got there.
