The New Jersey Department of Transportation will soon begin removing some trees along a stretch of Route 33 in Monmouth County in order to make the roadway safer.
The tree removal is all part of a $2.3 million improvement project for Route 33. The trees that will be removed have been marked with pink X’s.
The improvement project also includes underground utility work, resurfacing and upgrading traffic signals. Milling and paving is expected to begin this summer.
The project should be finished sometime this fall, according to the DOT.
