Disabled vehicles, closed roads follow storm in Newark

Some Newark commuters were making risky choices Monday afternoon after flooding affected the area.
Drivers at Frelinghuysen Avenue near the I-78 overpass were seen driving through deep waters despite disabled cars already stranded there.
Newark police put up barricades on the street, but some drivers deliberately ignored them.
A video from earlier in the day also shows drivers on South Street needing to be rescued by emergency crews.
Water quickly receded after the rain stopped, but police still asked drivers to remain vigilant to avoid flooding.
Employees at nearby AMG Resources scrapyard say flooding isn't unusual to the area.
