Heavy rain brings wet, windy weather throughout day

Rain showers are sweeping across the region Monday, making hazardous traveling conditions. 
A flash flood warning has been issued for all five boroughs by the National Weather Service. 
The rain is becoming heavy at times, with torrential downpours. Some thunderstorms are possible.
Rain totals will range between 1 to 3 inches, leading to possible flooding on roadways. And a coastal flood advisory has been issued for low-lying areas.
The heaviest of the rain is expected to last until 2 p.m. Monday, according to News 12 meteorologists.
For Tuesday, expect a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the mid-50s.
Wednesday will be a little warmer, with high temperatures at 55 to 60 degrees under mostly sunny skies.
