Officer injured responding to mall fight, 1 arrested

GARDEN CITY -

A Rosedale man is accused of injuring a Nassau police officer.

Officers say they were called to the Roosevelt Field Mall Saturday night to break up a fight.

A suspect, Jarret Rivera, allegedly resisted arrest, causing an officer to fall and hurt his eye and knee.

Rivera was eventually subdued and was taken into custody.
