Police have identified the husband and wife found dead inside a Holbrook home.

Police discovered the bodies of Steven Kuper and his wife, Susan Kuper, on Tuesday afternoon after their worried daughter called 911.

The couple was found in the basement of their home on Patchogue Holbrook Road.

Detective Lt. Kevin Beyrer of the Suffolk police said “We don't suspect anyone other than the two of them are involved. The circumstances of how they received gunshots is under investigation whether it was a suicide pact or a murder suicide.”

Police say the 69-year-old husband and 56-year-old wife suffered from undisclosed health problems.
