EAST ISLIP -

The state has suspended the Suffolk judge accused of stealing women’s' underwear from his former intern's home.

Prosecutors say Robert Cicale, of East Islip, got the panties by breaking into the woman's home, which is on the same block as the one he shares with his wife and three kids.

On Monday, Cicale was formally suspended with pay, effective immediately.

He was placed on temporary leave after his arrest last week.

Cicale has pleaded not guilty.
